Our experienced workshop oversees a vast majority of panel beating work whether on a single panel or for more extreme smash repairs. Maintaining all repairs to manufacture standards with the latest technology and specialised industry training techniques.
Panel beating involves a vast range of practices, from shrinking to stretching, planishing, welding, filling, and sanding prior to being refitted back onto your vehicle and entering our spray-painting booth. By applying heat to damaged areas of the panel allows us to shape the panel with a special hammer, a technique designed to easily restore panels back to their original shape and contours.
Gower Smash Repairs also apply welding techniques to join pieces of metal together and once this metal is cooled it becomes a strong joint ensuring the integrity of your vehicle structure. If specific areas of filling are required to hide any small dents we apply a putty mixture to the surface so the original shape and contours can be achieved.
When preparing a vehicle for the final spray paint, we finely shape and smooth the area by sanding, depending on the stage of work, a different texture can be achieved by changing the coarseness of the sanding pad.
